Critique for the coloring. It's nice, a really neat effect. It has a very abstract appeal. It's textured, and works for some of the things, but other wise it's a bit messy. I grew personally really attached to your other shading. It was original, yet still told you where the shadows fell. This style might be better if it was blended better, but currently, in some places it looks really messy and hastily done. Mav's tail for instance is really splotchy and doesnt show clearly where shadows lay. This shading style looks FANTASTIC for his hair though! It shows the curls really nicely. It works. I suggest maybe mixing shading styles?
